Medisky Disposable Underpads #blue Disposable underpads are absorbent sheets that are designed to protect mattresses, chairs, sofas, or other surfaces from fluids such as urine, sweat, blood, or wound drainage. They are often used by people who have incontinence problems, or who are recovering from surgery, childbirth, or illness. Disposable underpads can also help prevent skin irritation, odour, and infection by keeping the user dry and comfortable. Some features of disposable underpads are: They have a soft non-woven top layer that feels gentle on the skin and allows moisture to pass through quickly. They have a super absorbent core that contains polymer crystals that can lock in large amounts of fluid and turn it into gel. This prevents leakage and rewetting of the skin. They have a waterproof back sheet that prevents the fluid from seeping through to the underlying surface. Some back sheets are also non-slip to keep the underpad in place. They have sealed edges that prevent the fluid from escaping from the sides of the underpad. They are disposable and easy to remove and replace when needed. They are more hygienic than reusable underpads that need to be washed and dried.
